Capturing the beauty of nature and bees, one line at a time
About the artist
Lucy Wilton is a Yorkshire- based artist specialising in fine line botanical illustrations. Her work celebrates the beauty of nature, with a signature focus on featuring bumble bees in her work.
Her art is hand drawn using fine line pens, with acrylic paint detailing, and is inspired by her exploration of the Yorkshire countryside where she lives. She aims to spread awareness of the importance of bumble bees and the natural world through the pieces she creates.
She takes inspiration from her nature photography and collection of flower books and creates her art from her imagination, bringing a calm story to each piece. Each piece capturing the rhythm of the natural world, bees weaving though blossoms in the morning light.
Lucy invites you to pause, reflect and connect with each piece, transforming your space into a living, breathing story.
You will often find Lucy at events and fairs in Yorkshire with her artwork. She loves the opportunity to share her work and connect with others face to face, to share her story and talk about her creative process of creating each piece.
She has exhibited at many events and fairs across Yorkshire including the RHS gardens Harlow Carr and The Country living magazine.
A note from Lucy
”One of my favourite quotes is ‘There is no better feeling, than to bring a smile to someone's day' and I hope I achieve this when you look at my work. Each piece comes from the heart to bring joy to those who see it”
